The playgroup was originally opened thirty years ago in a wooden Village Hall which burnt down. After using private houses for a while, the playgroup moved to the new Village Hall in 1986.

We have a large spacious hall, a smaller pre-school room, kitchen, toilets, and a upstairs/downstairs storage area. There is also a fantastic outside area which incorporates a large playhouse on two levels, a covered sand area, digging nature area, an arbour and a sloped grass area. This is a completely fenced to provide safety. An outdoor classroom enhances the outdoor area.

We completed our Lancashire Quality Award after five years team commitment and hard work.

Crag Bank Under 5s serves a community which has a wide and varied social mix of people. Most of the children who attend our Pre-school move on the one of the three local primary schools or other schools in the outlaying districts around Carnforth.

​

Crag Bank Under 5s is a non-profit making group which is run by committee of elected parents. The playgroup caters two to four year olds. The Pre-school sessions cater for children in the year before they progress to primary school. Both Playgroup and Pre-school run in term time.

​

Our nursery will provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age.

 We will work in partnership with parents and carers to assist in the learning and development of children. Our nursery aspires to add quality to the lives and well-being of our local community. We offer children and parents a constructive environment that promotes equality and values diversity

Our nursery will always provide the best in local childcare for children aged 2-4 years old.
